South African media personality Somizi Mhlongo recently opened up about his thoughts on cheating and whether it is forgivable or not.

On Thursday, 13 November 2025, Metro FM shared a video of the star on TikTok, where he shared his unfiltered opinion about why he believes people should not forgive their cheating partners, should they have had an affair with another person.

Mhlongo further mentioned how infidelity is never a mistake, that he believes it is premeditated. The star, who recently reconciled with Bonang Matheba, also said that he doesn't care how remorseful a person is after being caught cheating, as that will be a deal breaker for him.

"I say this: cheating should not be forgiven. You will thank me later, 100 years from now, when I have a statue at Klipspruit, you’ll walk by that statue and look at it, and say Somizi was right.
"Cheating shouldn’t be forgiven, I don’t care how remorseful you are, because I don’t believe in the Gods of my homosexual blood that cheating is a mistake. Cheating is premeditated. If someone is remorseful, can they be a better person for the next person, but they’ve missed that boat with me."

"Cheating breaks trust. Once someone cheats, the bond of loyalty and love that once held the relationship together is shattered. It’s not only a betrayal of a partner but also a sin before God, because it goes against the covenant of faithfulness that love and relationships are built on. It destroys not only relationships but also the soul of the person who does it."
