Chidimma Adetshina has found herself at the centre of fresh drama after publicly clapping back at the widely followed catfish account Chris Excel on X, calling him "Pig Excel" in a since-deleted post on Monday, 7 September 2026.

The exchange began when Chidimma shared a video captioned "We bloom while they gossip," seemingly unbothered by the mounting legal troubles surrounding her and her mother, Anabela Rungo. Chris Excel took issue with her carefree attitude and responded by swearing at her, writing "Msunu wakho."

Chidimma did not let the comment slide. She fired back with the now-deleted post: "Throw dirt on me, and I'll grow wildflowers. Tell the PIG EXCEL I say, 'As-salamu alaykum.'"

Fraud Case Still Looming

The back-and-forth comes as Chidimma's legal battle remains far from over. Her mother, Anabela Rungo, faces a prima facie fraud case after allegedly stealing the identity of an innocent South African woman in 2001 to register her daughter's birth. The case has outraged many South Africans, who have demanded justice for the victim's family.

Chidimma's citizenship documents were cancelled as a result of the scandal, and deportation proceedings are currently working their way through the courts. Her case has been postponed to 27 February 2027, meaning she remains in the country in the interim.

Despite all of this, her continued public appearances, including dining out with friends, have rubbed many Mzansi residents the wrong way, with the "We bloom while they gossip" video adding fuel to an already raging fire.
