The 36-year-old got down on one knee and proposed to his wife Esethu Seku, 32, all over again, turning their recommitment ceremony into a moment Mzansi Magic viewers won't forget in a hurry.

Prince and Esethu choose each other
Prince walked into the ceremony clutching a bouquet of flowers, ready to lay his feelings on the table. In his speech, he acknowledged the rough patches the pair had been through, but said he valued how Esethu had remained in his corner throughout. Esethu, for her part, said she had entered the show chasing something real rather than something simple or perfect. While she admitted their journey together had been complicated and that old wounds had not fully healed, she told Prince she still chose him. After both confirmed they wanted to move forward, Prince surprised her with the second proposal, giving the couple a new milestone to build on after their unconventional introduction at the altar.
Mixed results at the ceremony
The other two couples did not share the same outcome. Hlulani Ngobeni, 27, and Nompumelelo Sobopha, 24, both chose to end their marriage. Hlulani said too much had been lost between them, including trust and emotional safety, for recommitment to feel honest. Nompumelelo echoed that sentiment, saying the relationship left her feeling more drained than fulfilled and that it was time to walk away.
The third couple, Lesiba Tleane, 34, and Matsheliso Maphutse, 36, also parted ways despite Lesiba expressing a desire to keep exploring their connection outside the experiment. Matsheliso said she had never truly felt chosen by him and feared their relationship would not survive once the show ended. After raising questions about their future without receiving clear answers, she decided she could not recommit to a marriage she did not believe had a future beyond the cameras.
The recommitment ceremony ultimately delivered a split result: two marriages came to an end, while Prince and Esethu's story took an unexpectedly romantic turn, with a fresh proposal giving them another shot at building something lasting together.
