Veteran South African actor and TV presenter Tumisho Masha hit back at an X user who publicly labelled him a "woman beater" during what appeared to be a heated political exchange on the platform.
The attack came from user @WorldofThabiso, who not only dismissed Masha as a "failed actor" but also accused him of being paid to share political views online. Rather than trade insults, Masha chose a different route entirely.

The actor quoted the post with a screenshot of a 2018 Sowetan article whose headline read: 'Tumisho Masha found not guilty - Court rules that actor did not hit his estranged wife.'

The ruling had cleared Tumisho Masha of assault charges brought by his ex-wife, Zozibini Mtongana, back in 2018. Masha has spoken candidly in the years since about the toll those allegations took on his professional life, telling podcast audiences, including an appearance on Podcast and Chill with MacG, how he lost acting and voiceover work despite being vindicated in court.
