Mihlali Ndamase has had enough. The South African content creator and businesswoman posted a selfie-style video and a lengthy statement on 1 October 2026, firmly shutting down rumours that she had romantic ties to the late Zimbabwean businessmen Wicknell Chivayo and Ginimbi.
Filming at night from inside a car, a visibly frustrated Mihlali spoke directly to the camera, calling out what she described as keyboard warriors manufacturing stories about her life.
"It's just kind of alarming, and it is definitely starting to rub me the wrong way that certain individuals can literally sit behind a keyboard and decide to create a narrative, a false narrative about me," she said.

Mihlali went further in a written post, which has since gone viral. Wicknell Chivayo, who recently passed away, had publicly stated he never met Mihlali, yet the rumours persisted. She wrote: "I've NEVER dated Wicknell nor have I met him, and I've also NEVER dated Ginimbi. I don't understand why some of you are so quick to run with narratives created by that imbecile on Twitter, knowing very well he only uses my name for relevance."

She was equally direct about her boundaries: "I will always choose to protect my peace over entertaining every rumour, but protecting my peace does not mean allowing people to rewrite my character."

Describing the gossip as "the lowest form of journalism," Mihlali urged the bloggers and anonymous accounts involved to find more productive pursuits.
