Talented actor Thabo Malema, who is famously known for his villain role on Scandal!, has scored a role on Netflix's hit series How to Ruin Love: The Lobola.

Malema, who previously made headlines for his wife's botched surgery, will star opposite Zola Nombona and Tembinkosi Ngcukana.

The streaming giant confirmed on its social media accounts this week that the fan-favourite show, How to Ruin Love: The Lobola, has been renewed for another season.

Entertainment commentator Jabu Mcdonald revealed on his X account on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, that legendary actress Meme Ditshego, who died in June 2025, will also star on the show.

According to Mcdonald: "The new season follows Zoleka (Sive Mabuya) and Kagiso’s (Bohang Moeko) families as they prepare for their union, but tradition, pride, and secrets threaten to ruin it all, with meddling relatives and a famous bride-to-be adding to the chaos."

Malema will be joined by actors Sivenathi Mabuya-Bukani, Bohang Moeko, Zola Nombona, Marjorie Langa, John Morapama, Shoki Mmola, Sello Ramolahloane, Sandile Mahlangu, Thando Thabethe, Nefisa Mkhabela, Mapaseka Koetle, Tina Jaxa, Dumisani Mbebe, Ayanda Daweti, Zwelakhe Mtsaka, and Tembinkosi Ngcukana. The hit series will premiere on Netflix on 19 December 2025.
