Student Forced to Buy R80 Textbook Unrelated to Course, TikTok Video Fascinates Others
- A female student of Delta State University has lamented over the textbook they were mandated to buy in her department
- She revealed that they were told to purchase the R80 material before they would be permitted to submit their assignments
- What amused her was that the textbook had no relation with the course title, and she displayed its contents for all to see
A Nigerian student has cried out on social media after seeing the book her department forced her and her colleagues to buy.
The 400-level student of Social Linguistics at Delta State University (DELSU) stated on TikTok that they were not allowed to submit their assignments without purchasing the textbook.

She added that the assignment was to be used for their continuous assessment (CA).
When she eventually bought hers, she discovered nothing in the textbook related to the course title.
She lamented wasting her money on such a material. @marvel0330 went from one page to the other to show netizens the contents of the textbook.
It appeared to be a visual textbook about the types family and things in the house.

Briefly News previously reported a young woman did the unusual. She dropped out of university to go back to school.
@lemonadefaramouw1 took her TikTok to share her first day as a learner again. In the video, she can be seen ironing her uniform and doing her hair in the early morning hours.
In another part, she shares the view of where she lives and gives her followers a peek at how it went at the school.
