A big-hearted content creator from America, Steven Shapiro, generously tipped an e-hailing $500 (roughly R8 800). However, when he heard the man's life-changing news, he decided to gift the man more money.

On 6 August, 2025, Steven uploaded a video on his TikTok account showing how he struck up a conversation with his Uber driver, who was from Soweto. At the end of his trip, Steven gave the man a stack of R200 notes.

After receiving the cash, the appreciative driver told Steven:

"You know, I've got a kid today. I have a daughter. She was born today. This is going to be a present for her. I wasn't expecting this."

"Big man, thanks a lot. I don't know how I can thank you. You came to me at the right time. Your timing was so perfect."
