"Reasons why men die early": SA reacts to man wrestling massive snake in intense video

  1. First, don’t panic or try to touch or catch the snake. Most snakes will not attack unless they feel threatened.
  2. Slowly back away and give the snake plenty of space to move away on its own.
  3. Keep a safe distance of at least several metres.
  4. Avoid sudden movements or loud noises, which might provoke the snake.
  5. If you’re in a popular hiking area, alert others nearby so they can avoid the path.
  6. Do not attempt to kill or harm the snake, as this increases the risk of a bite.
  7. In case of a bite, seek immediate medical attention and try to remember the snake’s colour and shape for identification, but do not try to capture it.
