Hebanna! Mzansi social media users and onlookers have been left stunned after a video emerged showing a massive snake standing upright on a farm, appearing to survey its surroundings like a scene straight out of a wildlife documentary.

In the clip, the snake, believed to be several metres long, can be seen lifting a significant portion of its body off the ground, towering over the grass while swaying its head from side to side. The unusual behaviour, often associated with snakes assessing threats or scanning for prey, quickly sparked both fear and curiosity online.

Massive standing snake stuns Mzansi on a farm

The gent who recorded the video expressed his disbelief at the sight, keeping a safe distance while capturing the reptile’s movements, saying:

"This is one of the most dangerous creatures in the Savannah land."

While taking to the Facebook handle Farm with Tam, where the video was posted on 14 August 2025, the post read as follows:

"My first time seeing a snake on my farm was so scary..I don't know if I will continue working in that particular area."

It is unclear where the incident took place, and the exact location has not been confirmed. It is also not yet clear what species the snake is, but many viewers have speculated that it could be a cobra, known for its ability to lift its body high when feeling threatened.

The footage has since gone viral, sparking reactions from people. It was released on Facebook, gathering many views, likes, and comments.
