One of the illegal activities is done by beach lovers who want to take a piece of the ocean home with them. Mafu explained that collecting sand from the beach is a crime that could land one in jail.
Another crime that South Africans thought was absurd is the ownership of a pet tortoise without a valid license. It is illegal to own the animal without providing a safe environment for it to thrive in, which would eventually lead to its death.
The biggest illegal act that Mafu highlighted was urinating in public. This act is performed openly by South African men who pull down their pants at their convenience.
The final crime that stunned Mzansi was jaywalking. She explained that people were only allowed to cross the road at a pedestrian crossing and not just anywhere they pleased.
