Man shares how Uber driver saved him after taxi drivers bullied them

A young man from Cape Town explained on TikTok that he ordered an Uber because he was late for school. The Cape Peninsula University of Technology student, Modisaotsile Pule, shared that he and his driver were stopped by taxi drivers.

His driver was made to choose between two options, and he chose one that ensured that they’d both be safe:

“I was late for school, and the Uber driver got stopped and bullied by taxi drivers who made him choose between leaving me and cancelling the drive or paying them. He chose to pay them because he said he didn't want me to be late.”

Pule was touched by what the Uber driver did for him and wished he could have shown more gratitude towards him:

“The rest of the drive was so quiet, but I'm so sad that I couldn't thank him enough.”
