A local woman has captured the attention of social media users with a serious video about an exploitative work experience she had abroad.

In the video, the woman, named Bonnie, sits in the car. She begins her story by drawing a parallel between her experience and the Alabuga recruitment. She says her experience made her an advocate for moving abroad only for further studies or as a professional. Job abroad: promise vs reality
The woman went on to explain that everything was legally done through the embassy and that she had secured a working holiday visa under the pretence of a stable full-time job. She said the agency still deducted money for the food and accommodation they had provided, along with additional fees, despite the limited income from not having stable shifts.
She said she was worried that she might end up owing the agency a significant amount of money. The woman said she escaped during the second week, despite the debt she had already accumulated, noting that such situations can happen in many different forms. She later added that she fled to Scotland by bus.
