Anij Nagar posted the career tips video on TikTok on 25 September 2026, speaking directly to camera from what appears to be his apartment. He said many of his followers had been asking how to optimise their LinkedIn profiles to attract international recruiters, and he decided to share what actually worked for him.
Nagar was quick to point out that he did not do anything complicated. With just 800 followers and 500-plus connections on LinkedIn, he got the basics right and credits that for his success.
His first tip was a clean, well-lit profile photo against a plain background, paired with a LinkedIn cover banner. Anij Nagar put together his own cover in about five minutes using free templates on Canva. He then stressed the importance of fully completing the education, skills, and certifications sections, warning that leaving them blank makes profiles effectively invisible to recruiters who rely on those fields when searching for candidates.

The two elements he described as most critical, however, were the headline and the "About" section. He explained that these needed to clearly communicate who you are, what you currently do, and the type of work you are looking for.
