Speaking to Briefly News's sister publication, TUKO.co.ke, Koskey, a mother of two, said the two ladies always admired her sister's Toyota Harrier.

"Each of them told me on different occasions that if they had money, they would buy something similar to my sister's. They loved her car so much, and I took the burden of looking for such a machine to bless them. At no point did they discuss their desire to own such a car with each other, and when they individually shared it with me at separate times, they did not pressure me to buy them," she said.

Do Toyota Harriers have sunroofs?

However, Koskey began shopping for the cars in August 2023 and wanted to make the cars as similar as possible.

She wanted to get the exact models with sunroofs, the same colour and the number plates would only be different by a number.

"It was difficult as I moved from one car bazaar to another, hoping I would get what I wanted. Thank God I got the cars and 2016 models, but only the colours were separate, unfortunately, and the number plates. I surprised them at my sister's engagement party," she narrated.

How much is a Toyota Harrier?

The woman from Kericho said she unveiled the cars, each worth over R438,000, at the end of the engagement meeting, and the parents were overwhelmed.

"They were surprised, shocked, stunned and emotional. They thought the cars were my sister's gifts, but they were theirs. It was a token of appreciation for what they had done for me. They mean so much to me because they took care of me when I had a stroke, and they brought me up well," she noted.
