"I regularly snoop on my 14-year-old daughter's browsing history, and this is her current one. She is a football fan, so I am not surprised," part of her post read.
Most searches comprised the English Premier League football matches and some Bundesliga news.
Can kids use tablets for CBC homework?
There were also searches on culinary arts, which Karugu disclosed were searches from her teenage daughter's sister.
Kaugu revealed she and her teenage daughter, Sharlin Njeri, use the same email address.
"From my phone, I see everything she searches for using the tablet. My post was to inform the parents who were against giving phones to their teens that not all misuse them. They need guidance.
She has had the phone since she was eight years old, and her younger sister uses it to do her Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) homework, watch videos on Do It Yourself (DIY) and such," she clarified.
Daughter had passion for football
The Kiambu mum also talked about Njeri's passion for football, influencing the entire family.
"I realised her passion during the 2022 World Cup tournament held in Qatar. As we watched the matches, she could explain details about almost all the players, like their country of origin, the national team and clubs they played for, their previous teams, and so on.
She amazed me with her knowledge, and I encouraged her to talk more about them. That is when she told me she aspired to be a sports journalist in one of those international sports companies," the proud mum excitedly said.
She encouraged parents to support their kids in whatever they love and offer guidance as they follow their passion.
