Kaizer Chiefs are working on adding new, quality players to their squad this summer ahead of the 2025-26 season.

The Glamour Boys ended the Betway Premiership outside the top eight in the just-concluded season but made up for that by winning the Nedbank Cup, which is their first title in ten years.

The Soweto giants look to bounce back from a disappointing campaign and mount a serious title challenge in the 2025-26 season, as well as in the CAF Confederation Cup.

With a new era expected to take shape at Naturena under Nasreddine Nabi, the club has already begun identifying players who can add experience and depth to the team next season.

3 Players Kaizer Chiefs Can Sign for Free This Summer

Percy Tau

The former Mamelodi Sundowns star earlier issued a "come and get me" plea to Kaizer Chiefs after being released by Qatar SC, and he is currently without a club.

Reports earlier suggested that Kaizer Chiefs are not interested in signing the Bafana Bafana star, but they need to reconsider that, as the South African international still has more to offer the club with his experience.

Tau is a versatile player who can play in every position upfront and can even drop deep to play behind a striker. Having a player with such a profile will help their cause next season if they decide to sign him.

Simon Van Duivenbooden

Just like Tau, the Dutch-born striker with South African roots has publicly expressed his desire to join Kaizer Chiefs.

He is also currently without a club after his contract with Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem ended this summer.

The 22-year-old is known for his physical presence and movement in the box and would provide the youthful attacking option Chiefs lacked last season.

Thabiso Monyane

Monyane is reportedly a transfer target for Kaizer Chiefs after the defender was released by Orlando Pirates this summer.

With Nabi looking to shape up his backline and have more options to work with, the 24-year-old, who is known for his pace, aggression, and work ethic, could be an ideal addition to the Tunisian tactician's squad.

Kaizer Chiefs reportedly sign Pirates star

Briefly News also reported that Kaizer Chiefs are said to have reached an agreement on a pre-contract with an Orlando Pirates star ahead of next season.

The Premier Soccer League giants and the player in question are yet to confirm if the reports are true.
