The Spanish tactician joined the Red Devils at the end of last season. He had previously parted ways with the Buccaneers. The Soweto giants replaced him with former Marumo Gallants coach Abdeslam Ouaddou this summer, and the Moroccan coach has been able to guide the Bucs to another MTN8 final.

Riveiro had a very poor start this season, picking up just one win out of seven games. He also failed to guide them to any wins at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup held in the United States.
