During a stint in Durban, de Allende was linked to a second motoring partnership when SMG Lexus Umhlanga publicly welcomed him as one of its drivers. The dealership described the association as "Powered by SMG Lexus" and expressed pride in having the Springbok centre behind the wheel while he was based in the city.
