The institution encourages interested learners to submit their applications in time to avoid late submission penalties.
Online application requirements
- A working email address;
- APS calculations;
- Scanned copies of academic documents.
Note that the application process is done through the Central Application Office (CAO)
MUT application process: CAO
Eligible learners can now apply to MUT through the CAO portal. On its web interface MUT, you will be required to key in your national ID number if you are a South African, or your passport number if you are a foreigner. Follow all the steps needed and complete your online application.
Besides CAO, interested learners can also apply to MUT using an application form.
MUT application fee
The following amounts should be paid for the application to be complete. Note that the amounts may change over time as determined by CAO:
- South African applicants: R200 (R400 for late submissions);
- International applicants: R250 (R500 for late submissions).
MUT insists on the submission of original certified copies of the latest results. Transferring students are particularly advised to submit their academic records including transcripts for timely processing.
MUT application status check
If you applied through the Central Application Office, you can flexibly follow the status online. You will need to provide one of the following credentials to qualify your status check process:
- CAO number;
- Identity number;
- Passport number.
