These women are epitomes of Ghanaian women pursuing excellence globally while dominating within the borders of the country.
Briefly.co.za looks at the remarkable feats of five of these women who continue to motivate young entrepreneurs aspiring to grow in the business sphere.
1. Patricia Poku-Diaby
According to Pulse Ghana, she is the richest woman in Ghana 2020 with a net worth of $720 million.
Patricia Poku-Diaby started working with the family’s business that deals in trading and transportation.
She later set up her own company, the Plot Enterprise Group in Ivory Coast, which became a precursor to the Ghanaian company.
Plot Enterprise Ghana is a wholly Ghanaian-owned cocoa processing company.

The group has market presence in Asia and West Africa and comprises; Plot Commodities and Plot Enterprise Ghana.
2. Theresa Oppong-Beeko
Theresa Oppong Beeko, is the founder and CEO of Manet Incorporate.
She has survived the setbacks of the industry and shattered glass ceilings in her male-dominated industry to blaze trails as a female entrepreneurial.
While her net worth is yet to be made public, Pulse Ghana captures her as one of Ghana’s richest women.
3. Kate Quartey Papafio
She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Reroy Cables Limited, one of the leading manufacturers of electrical cables in Ghana.
With more than 100 workers, Reroy manufactures electrical and telecom cables and conductors.
The company has a reach in international markets and has a significant domestic presence.
Reroy started operations in 2003 and exports mostly to countries in the ECOWAS sub-region.
4. Gifty Lamptey
Gifty Lamptey, a widow of the late David Lamptey, has successfully established herself as an entrepreneur.
As the CEO of SIDALCO Fertilizers Limited and founder and chair of Ladies of the Cross International Ministries, her organisation focuses on philanthropy.
The Ladies of the Cross International Ministries assisted in roofing a Mini Hospital at Ashan.
Gifty Lamptey clinched the Top Super Woman Award in Ghana for her tremendous impact in society in diverse ways.

5. Grace Amey-Obeng
Grace is the founder and CEO of Forever Clear Group of companies.
In November 2017, she stood for and was elected executive member and held the position of National Treasurer of the Association of Ghana Industries,
Ghanaian non-governmental organisation made up of voluntary business associations of more than 1200 members drawn from the small, medium, and large scale enterprises.
