Abia Nale was born on 5th October 1986 in Sebokeng, Gauteng, South Africa. His mother is called Thembi, while his father is known as Elia. He has two siblings, Ntswaki and Thapelo. Abia Nale family lives in Sebokeng.

Abia started playing soccer as a youth for Burning Spear FC and Orlando Pirates. In 2005, he started playing senior football at Manning Rangers.
