Singer and actress Shalate Sekhabi, who plays Shoki Zwide, has bowed out of House of Zwide as Nkosi Zwide's wife.

Sekhabi confirmed her exit from the fashion telenovela on her social media account this week and thanked her fans for supporting her.

The rising star took to her Instagram account on Monday, 21 July, to thank her supporters and colleagues for an incredible journey.

"My heart is filled with so much gratitude. Farewell Shoki! Thank you so much to everyone who has embraced and loved Shoki over the years. It’s because of this character that I’ve become a household name and got my start in this industry. Shoki has changed my life beyond anything I could have ever imagined, and the love from all the viewers online and in person is the most amazing thing to come out of all of this," wrote the actress.

Sekhabi adds that she's excited to see all the drama unfold between her on-screen husband and real-life boyfriend, Nkosi (played by Wanda Zuma), and Msizi (Mduduzi Mabaso).

Actress Shalate Sekhabi discusses landing the role of Shoki in House of Zwide

In more entertainment news, Briefly News reported this June that fan-favourite actress and singer Shalate Sekhabi recently opened up about playing the role of Shoki on House of Zwide.

Sekhabi reveals that her popular character was supposed to be long, but she [Shoki] began to have her own story.
