South African veteran Kwaito star Kabelo Mabalane recently celebrated a special milestone in his life on Monday, 1 September 2025.

The star, who returned to the studio in 2024 after a long hiatus, announced on social media that he has marked 23 years of sobriety. Mabalane has always been vocal about his alcohol free journey online, sharing every year how long he has been sober.

In his recent post, he wrote:

"We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony!"

Gail and Kabelo Mabalane celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary

While Kabelo celebrated his 23 years of sobriety in September 2025, this wasn't the only great thing he celebrated this year, as in February, he and his wife, Gail Mabalane, also marked 12 years of their beautiful union on social media.

On 9 February 2025, the Kwaito star turned pastor posted a cute photo of them together and penned a heartfelt anniversary message.

He wrote:

"What a ride. 12 is such a significant number! It has not been by might nor power but by His Spirit. May we continue to be sensitive to His Spirit as His Spirit continues to lead us, my love. Happy Anniversary."
