For many years, people have known Cassper Nyovest to be the only artist to have filled up a stadium, and in fact, he wasn't, as there were other legendary stars who have done so in the past.

While, Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa have been getting praises on social media for pulling off a historic Scorpion Kings with Friends Live concert on Friday, 29 August 2025, at the Loftus Stadium in Pretoria which was a huge succes as they sold out all their tickets, many netizens have been engaging in a debate about who else in South Africa was able to fill up a stadium.

On Wednesday, 3 September 2025, an online user @2022AFRICA decided to share a list compiled of nine black South African artists who have successfully filled up a stadium during their iconic concerts in the past, and Cassper Nyovest, Makhadzi, Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa were on the list.

The post reads:

"The only Black South African artists to have a sold-out Stadium Concert, 1. Cassper Nyovest, 2. Kabza De Small & Dj Maphorisa, 3. Brenda Fassie, 4. Makhadzi, 5. Lucky Dube, 6. Khuzani, 7. Benny Mayengani, 8. Rebecca Malope, and 9. Dr Tumi."
