Dr Musa Mthombeni has officially made his next career move, and his fans and his wife had plenty to say. The former YoTV presenter and specialist Radiologist took to Instagram on 7 August 2026 to share that he had joined Minima Interventional Radiology, a Gauteng-based practice offering specialised Interventional Radiology services.
Musa, who is also a qualified International Neuroradiologist, described the move with characteristic warmth.
"Grounded in providing minimally invasive and highly impactful treatments, we're happy and ready to help you get back to being you! Spend some time on our website and social pages and see how we can help you."
Minima had actually teased the news a day earlier on their own Instagram page, assuring prospective patients of his commitment.

Liesl Laurie brags about her husband
Former Miss South Africa and Musa's wife, Liesl Laurie, was quick to show her pride in the comments, cheerfully exclaiming, "That's my husband!" But she could not resist slipping in a playful dig at the same time.
"I'm sooo proud of you, my baby. You are a serious person at your job, hey. If only people knew the kind of not-so-serious person you are at home."
The comment landed perfectly, given that Musa has built much of his social media reputation on his childlike humour, from witty captions to devoted lover-boy posts about Liesl and their international travels together. Those who follow him closely will know that posts about his actual medical career are relatively rare, making this announcement all the more notable.

In June 2026, Musa completed intensive sub-speciality training in Interventional Neuroradiology and Endovascular Neurosurgery, officially earning the title of Neurointerventionist - a milestone he celebrated publicly. The Minima announcement builds directly on that achievement.
Fans and peers in the comment section, including musician Branden Praise and broadcaster Andile Ncube, echoed Liesl's energy, joking that Musa is somehow both the country's funniest socialite and a deeply serious medical professional at the same time - a combination that continues to earn him one of the most devoted followings in South African entertainment and beyond.
Branden Praise said:
"Can’t believe I know such serious, important people. Didn’t understand half of the profile description, but I think it’s positive!"
Andile Ncube joked:
"Now that I’ve congratulated you, I can finally say what we’re all thinking; it’s about time you get a job!"
wethu_myra reacted:
"We laugh with you, but the whole time you're nothing to be played with. Congratulations, doctor!"
