Cassper Nyovest is not holding back after learning that the man who killed beloved TV and radio personality DJ Warras received a 25-year prison sentence. The rapper took to social media on 7 August 2026 to share his frustration with the outcome and demand accountability from those who may have orchestrated the hit.
Armindo Pacula entered into a plea and sentence agreement with the state, admitting that he was hired to carry out the killing. The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) confirmed that Pacula was paid R25,000 to commit the murder, and he was subsequently sentenced to 25 years behind bars.
Cassper Nyovest questions the case
For Cassper, the sentence raised more questions than it answered. He wanted to know whether Pacula had revealed who hired him and why, arguing that the punishment fell far short of the gravity of the crime.

"Did he tell them who sent him and why? I don't think 25 years for taking a life is enough, honestly. Putting a family through such trauma and changing the rest of their lives permanently because of greed. The man did nothing to you; you didn't even know him. I hate this so much!" the rapper wrote.

What happened to DJ Warras?
DJ Warras, whose real name was Warris Stock, was fatally shot on 16 December 2025 outside the Zambezi building in the Johannesburg CBD. He had parked his car to inspect the building when a shooter approached at close range and opened fire before fleeing the scene on foot.
Beyond his well-known broadcasting career, Stock also ran a VIP security firm and co-owned real estate. Early police investigations pointed to an assassination connected to disputes over local properties and hijacked buildings, suggesting his business interests may have made him a target.
Before his death, Warras had announced a major return to the decks, with ambitions of going international. He had also landed a new hosting gig for a new Mzansi Magic show, Ngicel’iVisa, which premiered on 30 September, just months before his assassination.
