Inno Matijane's faith and detransition journey

In 2025, Inno publicly announced that he had found God and made the decision to detransition, choosing to suppress his attraction to men in line with his religious beliefs.

According to reporting by Mamba Online, he maintained that he was born gay and still feels attracted to men, but is prioritising his faith over identity - without claiming to be straight or forcing a shift. He also indicated he is open to the possibility of a relationship with a woman, though not under any pressure.

He previously clarified his pronouns to Briefly News, stating: "My pronouns are he and him. I am a man, and that is how I choose to be addressed."
