The beloved South African comedians and actors were honoured with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the National Arts and Culture Awards. During his thank-you speech, he took a moment to celebrate Schuster, the man widely regarded as one of the country's most iconic filmmakers and entertainers. Ntombela credited him for changing his life when he was a young man.

"You took me from the legendary Ken Gampu and held my hand when I was still young in 1990; I was still 18 years old."

"We brought black and white together for the new South Africa. When you remember Sweet n Short, that's the new South Africa we created."
