MacG is standing his ground. In a clip from the latest Podcast and Chill episode that premiered on Monday, 21 September 2026, the media personality pushed back against critics, insisting that he and his show were the first to shine a light on the Kempton Park serial killer before anyone else broke their silence.
Speaking in a serious and defensive tone during the studio interview, MacG argued that neither Women for Change, pop-up activists, nor celebrity voices like Dineo Ranaka had used their platforms to address the killings before Podcast and Chill brought it to public attention.
"No one was talking about the serial killer until we mentioned it. No one. Not Women for Change. Not all of these pop-up activists, pop-up celebrities," he said.
MacG's original warning to Yanda Woods
The podcaster revealed that his initial motivation was concern for a person close to him. He explained that he regards media personality Yanda Woods as a younger sister, and that his earliest comments on the subject were a personal warning to her to stay out of Kempton Park.

"I started off by saying Yanda, be careful, don't go to Kempton. Be safe, don't go to Kempton Park," he said.
MacG acknowledged that things eventually "took a wrong turn" but maintained that his intent was always to use the show's reach responsibly.
"Knowing the platform that we have and how powerful it is, I thought it would be great to highlight that so women can be safe," he added.
