Things turned sour when the same student publicly called him a "terrible human being" during a period when Kaybee was involved in a public beef with celebrities she admired.
"I let her stay there because I bought the place from her mother after she took all her pension money to buy the flat, only to later not make any profit from renting out the place, so I felt sorry for the family; then I let the child stay for 6 months," Kaybee wrote.

Mzansi reacts to Prince Kaybee's post
The post struck a nerve with many South Africans, who flooded the comments with similar stories and varying opinions.
@imaybemightbeme pushed back on the framing:
"Helping people doesn't exempt you from being a terrible human being. I'm not saying you are. The majority of people who help people are heinous individuals. They do it for their ego and glory. They're called overt narcissists."
@nicholasp2105 shared a relatable experience:
"When I relocated to JHB, I went looking for my cousin; my mother warned me, but I didn't listen. I helped him with his licence, paid for short courses that he failed, and introduced him to life outside ekasi. Today we're not on speaking terms because he is an entitled piece of sh!t."
@Snerto120601 kept it short:
"People are snakes, bra; they always bite the hand that helps them. That’s always the case."
@Mditshwer offered a more controversial take:
"This answers the question of why people are unemployed. Privileged people don't owe anyone anything."
@TheHoundZa questioned whether the full story had been told:
"I feel like you guys didn't try to sit down and iron it out. I don't believe that could be the only reason she called you a terrible human. Was she happy her mother was selling the property?"
