A Nigerian lady who wanted to relocate to the UK lost R198K to a work visa agent.

The lady, Jumtel, came out to tell her story years after the ugly event left her penniless.

Jumtel noted in a TikTok post that she wanted to travel to the UK as a skilled worker, so she got an agent to help her process the travel documents and job.

She said she was introduced to a company where she was supposedly being trained in preparation for work in the UK.

Processing UK skilled worker visa

Jumtel noted that she thought she would be out of Nigeria within three months, but nothing happened for a year.

She said the woman who was training them was supposed to help them get jobs in the UK so they could obtain a skilled worker visa.

After a year, it became clear to Jumtel that the woman was not going to get any job despite all the preparations for the interview.

She lost R198k to a visa agent

That was how she lost R198K without getting any job or UK visa. The woman processing the job for them blocked everyone, and she returned to square one.

Unfortunately for Jumtel, she had resigned from her job, which was paying her R1K, hoping she would soon get a job and a visa to move to the UK. Jumtel later successfully moved to the UK after following the proper channels and getting a job and a UK visa.

Woman scammed by fake lover and fake prophetess of R650k

Meanwhile, Briefly News shared that a woman from Polokwane was scammed of R650k by a fake lover and a fake prophetess. The lady entered a relationship where her fake boyfriend introduced her to a prophetess who promised her R4 million in exchange for 10%.

Once she gave them R650K, they disappeared, and the Hawks later arrested them in the North West. Netizens were shocked at how easily she could pay that amount.
