The latest Uber ride available in South Africa sparked some buzz on social media. Online users discussed the transport option on Uber.

In a post on X, a man @papito_ray showed that he took a bride on Uber. The client only paid R11 after a discount from R18 to hitch the back of a motorcycle. The option on Uber, Moto, was described as one that avoids traffic and is generally cheaper than the car options.

The guy who tried the Moto option on Uber said it was fun, but he would try it again. He said:

"The cars were moving past us so quickly, I felt like they were gonna crash into us. Plus, he kept on manoeuvring his way in tight spaces. Never been so stressed."

Woman protects Uber driver

In a related Briefly News story, a woman shared her questionable experience with an e-hailing service. The lady posted a video detailing how she acted like a driver was her romantic partner. She said a routine Uber ride turned dangerous when they ran into taxi drivers who compete with Uber. The lady said she did the most to protect the driver's identity as she kissed him to look like his girlfriend.
