Briefly News spoke to the mom to find out why this is challenging for baby girl and if the school gave the homework. Turns out, Sepedi is their home language, and while seSotho is part of the national anthem, Sepedi is not.

"My home language is Sepedi (Northern Sotho), and yes, we have been asked to assist them in learning it for assessment at school."
