In a heartbreaking story shared by Desiren, the woman noted that their mother had decided to leave her husband after 38 years of marriage.
Why is the wife leaving?
The revelation came as a shock to her children, who were unaware of the extent of their mother's suffering during their parents' long union.
She opened up only when they questioned her about the fact that she stuck around for them.
"I saw my dad hit her from time to time and felt it was normal. I feel like I've let her down, I don't even know how I felt after the meeting that she called," she said.
During the meeting, the mother explained that she sacrificed everything but was finally leaving because everyone was grown up.
What happens to the woman's father?
The daughter disclosed that she was at a loss for words, given that she was her first child, but didn't know their mum was sad and uncomfortable.
"I feel like I've failed her. What should I do? And how can I make it up to her?" she questioned.
