In the video, Gladys Munyori explained that the Toyota Belta was being offered at R492K, noting that a car directly out of the factory costs more than a used model since everything is still brand new.

"Gari zero mileage, you get them from R490K upwards... They are new from the factory," said Munyori.

She explained that the number plate could not accurately tell a new car from a used unit because vehicles are assigned new plates after being imported into the country.

Munyori explained that zero-mileage cars have various advantages that make them more expensive than used cars.

"The zero mileage units have what we call manufacturer's warranty, which like Toyota in Kenya gives 5 years or 150,000km. This gives peace of mind. Zero mileage are also 'maintenance free' and only servicing is required so less expenses in the first like 8 years of the life of the car. Other advantages includes the durability because they are custom made for a particular country or region," Munyori elaborated.
