Madisha Sundowns player broke into the football scene in 2014 when he joined M Tigers and perfected his skills. In 2015, he joined Highlands Park and stayed in the team up until 2016, and by the time when he was leaving the team, he had made two-match appearances.

In 2016, he landed a chance at the Mamelodi Sundowns, and the opportunity helped in cementing his name in the PSL. He perfected his skills and even landed several opportunities in the South African national team.

At the time of his death, he was a defender at Mamelodi Sundowns and the Bafana Bafana team. He had made eighty match appearances for the Sundowns and had scored two goals.

He joined the national team, registered a record of thirteen match appearances, and scored one goal during the match against Botswana in the 2018 COSAFA CUP.

The past three weeks have been challenging as the country has lost some of the most valuable soccer players. On 13th December 2020, South Africa woke up to the news of Motjeka Madisha death.

The Masandawana defender passed on on 12th December 2020 at midnight after he was involved in a gruesome road accident. His BMW 1 Series crashed into the pole of a billboard along Zuurfontein Road in Chloorkop, Ekurhuleni.

The grisly accident hours after the club celebrated its 50th anniversary, although the circumstances surrounding the accident are still unclear. However, it is claimed that the defender was in the company of one person. The person also perished due to their injuries.

Details of Motjeka Madisha accident

According to William Ntladi, the Ekurhuleni Emergency Services spokesman, the deceased's vehicle rammed into a stationary object and caught fire. He also alleged that the driver must have lost control of the car. He went further to account for the accident stating,

The car caught fire and the driver who was trapped inside perished, while the passenger whose body was partially burnt, was found next to the car and he too was declared dead on the scene by Ekurhuleni Emergency Services.

Motjeka Madisha car was wrangled beyond experience. The officers from Ekurhuleni Emergency Services found the body of one of the occupants outside the vehicle while the other occupant was burnt beyond recognition.

The officers from Ekurhuleni Emergency Services were trying to identify who among the two victims is the player since the two casualties were critically burnt.

According to the spokesperson, the heavy rains in the area might have caused the accident. He also alleged that the accident took place at around midnight, and when the officers got to the location, the vehicle was still ablaze.
