The Kiernan Forbes and Tebello Motsoane case resumes

Five men stand accused of carrying out the hit after being arrested in 2023 and remain behind bars.

According to Eyewitness News, state prosecutors Advocate Elvis Gcweka and Advocate Lawrence Gcaba informed the court that they were ready for trial.

AKA was assassinated outside a restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on 10 February 2023. His friend and former manager, Tibz, who was with the rapper at the time, sadly became collateral damage.

The trial has faced repeated delays, and Briefly News reports that the accused face charges of murder, conspiracy, attempted murder, firearm possession, and money laundering.

Two others, who were the alleged shooters, remain in custody in Eswatini awaiting deportation to South Africa.

South Africans are losing hope

Meanwhile, fans' hopes for a resolution are dwindling, as many now fear it will end up just like the Senzo Meyiwa case that has been ongoing for a decade.

Speaking on the late Orlando Pirates goalie's case, Briefly News reported on Advocate Malesela Teffo's claims that it has been purposely delayed.
