As if the title of King of Amapiano was not enough, Oscar Mbo went on to crown Kabza De Small as the next Black Coffee.
Just recently, Oscar Mbo gave the Kabza Chant hitmaker his flowers, saying he deserves all the praise because his work ethic is unmatched.

In an interview, Oscar Mbo hailed Kabza for honing his special and rare talents, likening him to Vinny at first. But, as he progressed, he separated Kabza from Vinny, saying he holds something special that not many South African DJs have.

“Can we give it to Kabza (De Small), guys. Come on!" he exclaimed. "Some people think he is the new Vinny because of the height and everything, and also because Vinny loves people/ I believe that Kabza loves people. yes, but I feel like Kabza is special, man. Most of the time, you find people who are DJs but not producers. Kabza has got that thing. He has talent, producer and DJ at the same time, you do not get that a lot,” he said.
He topped the compliment with a bold statement, saying Kabza's talents and work ethic mirror Black Coffee's.
“There are many factors to saying he is the new Black Coffee, because we cannot have a new Black Coffee. I am saying in terms of how you compare it. Kabza ticks a lot of boxes. He is confident, he is consistent. If you can go back, you would know Coffee was dropping a lot of music. That is how much he was pushing,” he said.

Just recently, Kabza De Small proved just how much of a dope friend he is by giving Oscar R10,000 on his birthday. Taking to his Instagram stories on Thursday, 7 August 2025, Oscar shared a bank notification from FNB and an iMessage from Kabza, which read, "Go buy socks, my dog."
Mbo was in awe over the kind gesture, saying, "This is how you say Happy Birthday if we're close, please. Thanks."
Kabza's generosity knows no bounds as Young Stunna also previously hailed him, even going as far as calling him his father.
Oscar's label Ashmed Hour signs major deal
In a previous report from Briefly News, Yes God hitmaker Oscar Mbo announced securing a major international partnership. Ashmed Hour Records, his label, has partnered with Universal Music Group.
This partnership, which came into full effect in July 2025, is set to break records globally, and they have already released a new song under this deal.
Oscar Mbo is confident that this move will solidify his global impact and take his music to greater heights.
