Months after the launch of Nonkanyiso "LaConco" Conco's podcast, it appears that what looked like a promising platform soon took a nosedive.

Reports suggest that the media personality's podcast, Timeline with LaConco, suffered an unexpected setback after her guests snubbed her.

She launched her podcast at the start of 2025, where it explored her life, from her weight loss to her work, relationships and everything in between.

However, after just five episodes, the former Real Housewives of Durban star decided not to make the show about her anymore and invited guests to share their own stories:

"I decided I couldn’t just sit on the couch and talk about myself on every episode, but I had to let others share their timelines too. I invited people whom I believed had brilliant stories and met a certain standard."

However, according to a report by Sunday World on 28 August, after sending out invites, LaConco, who is the mother of former president Jacob Zuma's child, revealed that her requests were met with silence. She was forced to make a difficult decision:

"They didn’t respond. I don’t know if they didn’t want to come or if there was another reason, but until God redirects the purpose of the show, it’s on hold."

Accepting the unfortunate setback, LaC went on to reveal that she wouldn't force the podcast to continue, as it's not in her nature.

LaConco claims that the podcast has performed exceptionally well. However, the numbers have suffered a significant decline in recent months, from 514,000 views in the pilot episode on 28 February to just over 67,000 in her final tell-all on 16 May.

Nevertheless, LaC maintains that until God redirects her steps, she will be putting a pause on her podcast indefinitely.
