Musa Khawula is once again facing backlash for his distasteful comments, this time, over Mpho Popps' daughter, Naledi Imani Modikoane.

The comedian recently celebrated his traditional wedding to his wife Latoyah with a gorgeous ceremony on 20 September 2025, and their daughter was part of the wedding party, draped in isiXhosa regalia.

On 21 September, Khawula saved Naledi's photo to post on his Twitter (X) page of nearly 16k followers, to criticise her looks:

"Mpho Popps and Latoyah Mei-Modikoane's daughter, who is less than pretty; Naledi Modikoane, at her parents' traditional wedding."

This wouldn't be the first time Musa mocked the 13-year-old's appearance. As with previous incidents, his distasteful comments sparked a strong backlash online.

Social media slams Musa Khawula

Online users gathered in the comments section to criticise Musa for making rude remarks about a child's looks, though their messages fell on deaf ears. Read some of their comments below:

TSelekane44539 said:

"We love your tweets, but please leave children out of it. She is still young, and it's unfair. Stop doing that."

chiefcebo_ wrote:

"But this is a kid. Kids are off limits when it comes to social media. You should go back to jail."

sir_ntshikazi added:

"You definitely deserve to stay malnourished in that jail without bail for this tweet alone."

EsonasihleM esclaimed:

"How many times are y’all supposed to be told that kids are off limits? Do whatever you want, but leave kids out of it!!! This is just wrong, yho."

Zenzi873605 criticised Musa Khawula:

"Musa, you are stooping quite low now. You sound desperate for gossip. Leave innocent kids alone."

Meanwhile, others in the comments criticised Musa's supporters for making him the "monster" he is today:

Mizzyb1 said:

"The people who always laugh at Musa's insulting tweets are offended, saying this is a kid. This is what happens when you keep feeding the beast. Musa has been allowed to get away with a lot of nonsense 'cause the people he keeps disrespecting for giggles aren't faves and are never defended."

_Bongani__ wrote:

"Stop complaining in the comments, y'all created him, so deal with him!"

Bandavic14 added:

"This tweet makes me happy. It exposes your hypocrisy. Being rude and mean for no reason shouldn't only be limited to children but every human being regardless of age. Y'all are implying that if it wasn't a kid, y'all wouldn't see anything wrong."
