The families of maskandi figures Gumu Gupta Langa and Sicebi Dlamini, popularly known as Inkos’yamagcokama, have announced funeral details following their tragic deaths in a car accident.
Gupta Langa’s funeral set
Langa, who was part of the artist’s stage crew, will be the first to receive his final farewell. His funeral service will take place on Friday, 14 August, at his homestead in Embangweni, eMsinga, KwaZulu-Natal, starting at 9am.
According to Sunday World, his family and Sicelu Collective Management thanked fans, industry peers and the public for their prayers and support during the difficult period.

Inkos’yamagcokama laid to rest
Inkos’yamagcokama’s funeral will follow a day later on Saturday, 15 August, in KwaDungamanzi, eMsinga. His service will be held at Fabeni Stadium from 8am. His family, Ivulandlela Holdings and Sicelu Collective Management, also expressed appreciation for the messages of comfort received since his passing.
Further logistical updates will reportedly be shared through his official platforms. The musician was travelling to perform when the fatal accident happened in Richards Bay on Sunday morning.
Music industry prepares to mourn
The back-to-back funerals are expected to bring together fans, fellow musicians and community members who connected with the pair’s work.
As reported by Sunday World, Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie also paid tribute to Inkos’yamagcokama, describing his music as an important reflection of the people and culture he represented.
Two crew members remain hospitalised, with one reportedly in a critical but stable condition. Meanwhile, authorities continue investigating the crash, with mourners urged to avoid speculation.

Sicebi Dlamini dies in tragic crash
