Lamiez Holworthy's lookalike, Rural Zulu Girl, has gone on the offensive against the DJ in a two-day social media attack that touched on the star's family history, academic credentials and physical appearance.

The fashion content creator posted to her Instagram Stories on 12 August 2026, making a thinly veiled reference to Lamiez's upbringing. Lamiez was raised by her mother and late stepfather, while her biological father, producer Sello "Chicco" Twala, was absent from her life. Rural Zulu Girl appeared to use this as ammunition.

"Being given the wrong father for 30 years can disturb the mind, you know. It can cause delusions of grandeur!"

The post played Soul Brothers track Kuyadabukisa in the background, seemingly chosen to underscore what she framed as a pitiful situation. She then pivoted to her own achievements, boasting that she graduated with Psychology and Psychiatry "with flying colours" and adding that she "understands your kind." She also suggested her success was earned honestly, claiming she "didn't have to twerk her way" to where she is.

Inside Rural Zulu Girl and Lamiez Holworthy's feud

Rural Zulu Girl first rose to prominence when social media users pointed out her striking resemblance to Lamiez, noting similarities in their facial features, hairstyles and fashion choices. She has built a following as a fashion content creator, posting editorial-style photoshoots of her looks.

The comparisons soured when she pushed back against suggestions that she had drawn inspiration from the Metro FM star, insulting her fans for labelling her a lookalike. Lamiez stepped in to defend her supporters and playfully leaned into the lookalike comparisons, making it clear she considered herself the original.

Although the public spat appeared to have cooled, Rural Zulu Girl's latest posts reveal the tension never truly faded. The timing of her outburst is notable given that Lamiez had recently been hospitalised, yet the content creator showed no signs of holding back.
