There's serious trouble in Sbindi's polygamous journey. A teaser released on 18 October 2026, ahead of the next episode of Izingane Zesthembu, showed Mpumelelo "Sbindi" Mseleku telling his father and a family elder that he wants to put the brakes on completing Amahle Biyela's lobola.

Sitting with the two men, Sbindi was candid about his intentions.

"Since we're supposed to finish paying lobola, we'd have to pause for a bit," he told them, hinting at ongoing friction by adding, "The way she is carrying on." His father's stunned response - "Haibo!" - said it all.

"Do you know what Mpumelelo said? He will see when you come back to your senses," the aunt told her. Speaking during her diary session, Amahle did not hold back, calling Sbindi's decision disrespectful.

This wouldn't be the first time Sbindi made a drastic decision regarding his marriage. Briefly News previously reported on the young polygamist saying he had no intention of marrying Tirelo Kale due to her being overfamiliar with his family.

The revelation comes as things between Amahle and Mseleku have grown increasingly rocky on the show. In a recent episode, Amahle's aunt pressed her on whether she still loved Sbindi and wanted to go through with the wedding, and she responded by saying he could do whatever he wanted to.

She also called out his finances publicly, claiming he was unable to provide for her and that she had been weighing up moving back home.
