However, the company assured the public that it was still black-owned, aligning with its original plan to promote and further black culture.
The deal's financial details remain unknown, but TMZ reports that both parties are happy with the terms. Although Revolt's new owner keeps their identity hidden, they plan to introduce themselves formally in the next few weeks.
The company's CEO, Detavio Samuels, and chief brand officer, Deon Graham, will remain in their current positions.
Police storm Diddy's properties
The sale takes place a day after law enforcement raided Diddy's Miami and Los Angeles homes amidst an ongoing trafficking investigation.
Aerial footage showed heavily armed federal agents wearing Homeland Security vests gathered in Diddy's backyard. Armoured tracks were also present, and officers could be seen entering and exiting Diddy's homes hours after the search began.
Two men, who were later identified as Diddy's sons, King Combs and Justin Combs, were detained outside the mansions during the raid.
However, the mogul's sons were released without charges after the search, which was in line with standard procedure.
Diddy's alleged mule arrested in Miami
Besides the sale and the raid, Diddy's life has recently been controversial. Briefly News reported that A 25-year-old man, suspected to be Diddy's drug mule, was arrested at Opa Locka Airport with illegal narcotics.
Social media has been reacting strongly, with some suggesting this could be Diddy's downfall while others joke about his mule.
