According to a post on Reddit, it all began when the man set out his expectations from the relationship during the would-be romantic date. He informed his new girlfriend that he didn't want to have children, something she agreed to without much hullabaloo.

The man was shocked when the woman confessed to a secret she had kept for the three weeks they had been dating: she's a single mother of one child.

He knew the relationship was dead when the woman added that since he has a good career, her child "can finally enjoy the good life."

"She actually told me, 'Well you are making good money so that's good for my son.' I was blown away!" the man said.
