Muthuri, who works in the security sector, said in November 2021, he began the process and though he did not have enough money, he had faith and determination that the project would be completed seamlessly.

"I did not have much money then, but I trusted God that everything would be okay. So I would take screenshots of my dream houses. So in November 2021, I contacted a friend of mine and told him of my plan to build a house and he helped me come up with a plan," he said.

Muthuri said he chose affordable building materials for his new house and devised building stages that fit his budget.

"I had a good plan and strategy, and I think it was how I made it to build the house," he added.
