South Africans have questions about an accident on the M1 in Johannesburg, which claimed the lives of four prisoners and one police officer. The accident occurred after a police car collided with a bakkie on 23 October.

South Africans are struggling to understand how the accident took place and how there could be a head-on collision on the freeway, leading many to speculate that there could be foul play at hand.

Out of the eight prisoners, three male and one female prisoner were killed in the accident, while a cop also lost their life. The remaining victims were transported to the hospital. A tweet by @Thami_D on X (formerly Twitter) sparked a conversation about the accident. View the post here.

Mokone wa Bush remarked:

“Colliding head-on on a fourway lane. Suspicious.”

A-Man-Duh enquired:

“Are there no dashcams or cameras to help the police? This accident is very confusing.”
