KWAZULU-NATAL - A 39-year-old man has been arrested after Durban Metro Police raided a property on Rinkford Road in Phoenix, recovering drugs with a combined street value exceeding R1 million.
The operation was carried out by the Tactical Support Unit of the Durban Metro Police, who were acting on intelligence obtained from buyers operating in the area.
Officers spent several weeks conducting investigations before a search warrant was granted, leading to the raid on 12 August 2026.

Drugs recovered at Rinkford Road property
According to eNCA’s Dasen Thathiah, the substances seized at the property included mandrax tablets, crack cocaine, and heroin. Only one suspect was taken into custody during the operation.
