Last Saturday, they put on a strong second-half performance that saw them sensationally fight back and eventually win the game against France in Stade de France.

South Africa now shifts its attention to Saturday’s clash against Italy, where Erasmus expects a fierce contest, especially after the Azzurri stunned Australia last week.

“We may have beaten them twice in the Incoming Series, but they pushed us hard in both matches,” Erasmus said.
''Their win over Australia will give them massive confidence. We respect what they’ve built over the last few years, and we know we’ll have to fight for everything.”

Erasmus added that Italy’s passionate home support in Torino will make the task even tougher, reminding fans that the hosts have beaten South Africa on Italian soil before.
