Various political parties have called for more voting days following the IEC's failure to maintain general elections. However some say it's not necessary

The MK Party is not concerned that the former president of the ANC is still a member of the African National Congress. They are unmoved by the dual membership.

Nota has mocked the African National Congress as vote counting continues. This comes after the results show that the ANC has a lot of votes in the Eastern Cape.

As the IEC tallied the General Election votes, the MK Party supporters held a faux funeral for the ANC in Manguzi, northern KwaZulu-Natal, on 30 May 2024.

Many social media users said Gwede Mantashe's labelling of the MK Party gains as tribalism indicated the ANC's arrogance and failure to self-reflect.

The MKP's former leader and co-founder, Jabulani Khumalo, will appear before the Johannesburg High Court's Electoral Court in his bid to remove Zuma.

In early KZN election results, the MK party leads with 41.77%, surprising ANC's Gwede Mantashe who blames media bias for the ANC's decline noted his worry.

The director of Stellenbosch University's school of public leadership Professor Zwelinzima Ndevu said the MKP would get under 15% in the elections.

The ANC faced an anticipated decline in support, with the results even more disheartening, after it secured only 40% votes, a significant drop from the 57% in 2019.
